Oh I Do Like To Be Beside The Seaside

May 15, 2017

When I launched the Seaside Sessions last month I didn’t really know how it would work out, I just knew that people were asking for that one-to-one time with me and since I used to offer one-to-one sessions I knew the value they offered. The type of customers this would normally attract didn’t have a website they needed writing but they wanted something, either a strapline or a business name, some new ideas or simply for someone to look over something they were working on and to give ideas on how to maximise the marketing.

It’s been an interesting few weeks finding my feet and what people need, I’ve had so much interest for the Seaside Sessions that I’ve split it into two different offerings. The first is based on where the initial idea came from, people coming and spending the day literally on the beach with me. Here we work on a strategy day for their business, peeling back the layers and digging a little deeper to discover their core values, brand messaging and defining their goals.

The two clients I’ve already done this with literally came to the beach and worked intensely with me for the day. One of them came from out of county and arrived by train and the other was in Cornwall so drove. Both days were incredible and gave each client the chance to truly define who they were and their objectives. Everything is so much clearer on the sand.

Then the other option clients have been seeking is Creative Coaching. These are clients who want just a one or two-hour session on a regular basis so that they can discuss marketing ideas, I can feed back and also make suggestions, giving “homework” and keeping track of what they are up to.

Where the Seaside Sessions are intense, deep and defining at the very base of the business, the Creative Coaching is lighter, softer, nurturing and shaping their business with a slower more regular approach. It’s also more accessible for those clients who want to work together but can’t justify spending more at this current stage in their business. I don’t have many spaces on offer for either of these sessions because I have to ensure I have enough time for project work which is where I spend most of my time.  For now I’m going to be offering two Seaside Sessions per month and a full day of Creative Coaching per month (with availability for single or double sessions).

I’m so excited to be offering this and to meet such a variety of creative folk! If you are interested in booking please do get in touch on the email address, haveaword@jesscollins.co.uk I look forward to hearing from you!
