THE Creativity Chronicles
A journal of creative thoughts, content commissions I'm working on and where I'm at right now.
The life of a creative copywriter.
I had such a great response to my Studio Sessions that I thought it was high time to put together another one. Just to recap, this is where I interview inspirational creative folk to find out what makes them tick and what fires them up.
When I launched the Seaside Sessions last month I didn’t really know how it would work out, I just knew that people were asking for that one-to-one time with me and since I used to offer one-to-one sessions I knew the value they offered.
One of the main reasons to work with a copywriter is not because of what they will write about you (although that will be amazing, this is to be expected). It’s because of what they don’t write.
Back by popular demand, I’m introducing The Seaside Sessions. A few years ago I offered clients the chance to partner with me for micro projects or creative coaching.
Here’s my problem with packages: firstly they assume everyone wants something that is pre-created for them (not true), secondly, they don’t take into account the complexity of a project
It’s International Women’s Day so what better day to shout out to all of the wild women in the world? I’m very privileged to have partnered with all of these women in the past 12 months
I’ve always been pretty old school when it comes to this sort of stuff. If you had asked me a year ago I would have been adamant, design comes first, copy comes second.
Things you need to know about PR… BEFORE you hire me to work on a PR campaign for you. PR is not code for “get you in all the magazines free of charge in 6 weeks”.
“All these songs I’m hearing are so heartless. Don’t trust a perfect person and don’t trust a song that’s flawless”
I want less clients. Yes, you heard correctly. I said – I want less clients. Everywhere I turn there are webinars and coaching events on how to get more clients, more business, more money…. More more more.
